Data protection declaration

Data protection
The use of our website is generally possible without having to provide personal data. In case that personal data (for example, name, address or email addresses) is collected, this as far as possible, is always done on a voluntary basis. These data will not be passed to third parties without your express permission.
We would, however, like to point out that data transfer via internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security holes. It is therefore not possible to completely protect data against access by third parties.

Third party use of contact data provided in compliance with German site notice laws to send advertising and information material not explicitly requested is hereby expressly prohibited. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event that unsolicited advertising material, such as in spam emails, is sent.

Server log files
The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transfers to us. This information comprises:
-    Browser type and browser version
-    Operating system used
-    Reference URL
-    Host name of the computer accessing the site
-    Time of the server request

For data protection reasons, the host name/IP address of the client visiting the website are anonymised in the log files. In these log files, only the entries for the client’s host, or, where this cannot be established, the client’s IP address, are anonymised. The format of all other entries does not change. We do not merge this data with other data sources. We reserve the right to retrospectively inspect this data if we are notified of concrete indications that it was used in contravention of applicable laws.

Links to third party websites
Our website can contain links to websites provided by other parties, to whom this data protection declaration does not apply. With regard to the collection, processing or use of personal data when using websites provided by third parties, please bear in mind the data protection notice provided by the respective provider.

Contact
We collect personal data where you provide us with it, for instance if you contact us. Of course, we will use personal data collected in this way exclusively for the purpose you provide when you contact us.
The provision of such information is always on a purely voluntary basis, and takes place with your consent. If these data include details of communication channels (for example, email address, telephone number), you furthermore also consent that if necessary we may contact you through these communication channels in order to answer your enquiry.
You can of course revoke your declaration of consent, with future effect, at any time. To do so, please contact our data protection officer, whose details you can find below.

Cookies
Parts of our website use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies enable us to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser.
The majority of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser in a way that you are notified when cookies are placed and allow them on a case-by-case basis, or decline them in certain circumstances or in general, or have your browser automatically delete cookies when you close it. Deactivating cookies can result in this website’s functionality being restricted.

Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis tool provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called  ‘cookies’; small text files that are saved on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website to be carried out. These include Google’s own cookies (Google Analytics cookies) and so-called third party cookies (DoubleClick cookies). The information about your use of this website that is created by the cookie is generally transferred to Google’s servers in the USA, where it is then stored. In the event that IP anonymising is activated for this website, Google will however first shorten your IP address before it leaves the member states of the European Union or other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your complete IP address be transferred to Google’s servers in the USA and shortened there. Under contract to the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, in order to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with additional services relating to website usage and internet usage. In particular, these relate to display advertising, such as Google Analytics reports for services based on demographic characteristics and interests. Google may also pass this information to third parties, provided this is permitted by law or that the third parties are processing this data under contract to Google. The Google Analytics reports on services according to demographic characteristics and interests use data (such as age, gender and interests) acquired by Google via interest-based advertising and visitor data from third parties. On no account will Google merge your IP address with other data Google holds. You can make the necessary settings adjustments in your browser software to prevent cookies being saved. However, we would like to make you aware that in this case, it is possible you will no longer be able to use the full range of our website’s features in their entirety. Furthermore, you can prevent Google storing and processing the data generated by the cookie and the data relating to your use of the website  (including your IP address) by  downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the  following link  [http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de].

Use of Facebook’s social media plug-ins
As a result of our legitimate interest in the analysis, optimisation and operation of our online presence (as defined by Section 6, Clause 1, point f of the GDPR), this website uses the Facebook Social plug-in, which is maintained by Facebook Inc. (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA). This integration is recognisable by the Facebook logo and/or the terms ‘Like’ or ‘Share’ in Facebook’s corporate colours (blue and white). You can find information about all Facebook plugins at the following link: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

Facebook Inc. complies with European data protection regulations and has been certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement: www.privacyshield.gov/participant

The plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and Facebook’s servers. The website operator has no influence whatsoever on the nature and scope of the data that the plug-in transfers to Facebook Inc.’s servers. You can find information on this here: www.facebook.com/help/186325668085084

The plugin informs Facebook Inc. that you as a user have visited this website. There is a possibility that your IP address will be stored. If you are logged into your Facebook account during your visit to this website, the aforementioned information will be linked to it. If you use the functions of the plugin - for example by sharing or "liking" a post - the corresponding information will also be transmitted to Facebook Inc. If you would like to prevent Facebook. Inc. linking this data to your Facebook account, please log out of Facebook before visiting this website and delete the stored cookies. Via your Facebook profile, you can make further settings regarding data processing for advertising purposes or object to the use of your data for advertising purposes. You can access the settings here:

•   Cookie deactivation page for the American website: http://optout.aboutads.info/?c=2#!/
•   Cookie deactivation page for the European website: http://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1#!/

You can read about the data Facebook collects, uses and processes, as well as for what purpose and to what extent, as well as about the rights and configuration options you have to protect your privacy, in Facebook’s privacy policy. You can find this here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

Security We have put in place comprehensive technical and operational safeguards to protect your data from accidental or wilful manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and adapted to technical progress and developments.

No transfer of data to third parties We do not transfer your data to third parties unless we are legally required to do so. In the event that external service providers come into contact with your personal data, we ensure they comply with the provisions of data protection laws. We do this on the basis of legal, technical and organisational measures, as well as by regular monitoring.

The right to information
We would be pleased to inform you whether we store any of your personal data, and if so, which data. Under the terms of the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the EU’s GDPR, you also have the right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted.
